This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly skilled SENDCo to join our successful school.

Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the SENDCo will play an integral role in determining the strategic development of SEND provision within the school.

As a non-class based SENDCo, they will provide leadership and direction for developing excellence in every aspect of the school’s SEND responsibilities in relation to the SEND Code.

They will be responsible for the leadership of support staff and will also lead our ‘Potter Room’ provision for children with specialist needs. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven ability to deliver the highest standards of teaching and learning for all pupils, including those with specialist or SEMH need-A proven record of raising progress and attainment for pupils with SEND
  • An ability to plan strategically and build on existing quality practice
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and SEND Code of Practice
  • The knowledge and experience to provide professional guidance to colleagues and to work closely with staff, parents and other  agencies
  • The National SENCo Award or a willingness to complete it
