Job overview

SENCO: Full Time. No class teaching responsibility 

We are on a mission to find innovative, evidence based ways to improve our pupils’ life chances by raising outcomes whilst protecting our staff from excessive work load. 

·        Come and work within our inclusion team of 4 specialist teachers focused on delivering the best outcomes for children who find learning more difficult

·        Report to our supportive Deputy Head Teacher for Inclusion

·        On line standardised interventions

·        ‘Provision Map’ tool (from TES) to reduce administrative burden

·        No teaching commitment

Skills, qualifications and experience required by suitable candidate:

  • QTS
  • NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs
  • Have a successful track record of teaching across the whole curriculum and be able to evidence good progress and achievement of all pupils, but especially those who have SEN
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with a range of strategies to support learning for a variety of SEN needs
  • Experience of building positive links with parents
  • Strong commitment to the principles of equality, inclusion, and diversity
