We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced teacher who will promote awareness amongst staff of the curriculum entitlement of children with SEN, contribute to the strategic leadership and management of the school and be a Class Teacher.

As a member of the Senior Leadership team, you will be expected to contribute to raising standards of learning and teaching through the effective leadership of SEN provision and resources. You will demonstrate a high degree of sensitivity, diplomacy and empathy in working with pupils, parents and colleagues.

This post carries a five-year housing licence and you can expect to:

  • Work in a well-resourced school that follows an innovative Bailiwick curriculum based on the English National Curriculum and which has favourable PTRs;
  • Be part of a leading development of ICT in education and be allocated a personal laptop;
  • Receive a generous relocation package to the island, including rent allowance;
  • Enjoy the benefits of more generous tax allowances on an island with no VAT.

Salary will be in accordance with the Guernsey Main Professional Scale £28,534 – £40,972 per annum, plus the Management Allowance Level 2 payment of £4,979 per annum. There is also an Upper Pay Scale for teachers who have successfully gone through the Threshold Assessment.
