Alexandra is a vibrant two-form entry Primary School with a Nursery situated in Wood Green, North London. We are proud to be culturally diverse and have a strong inclusive ethos, we will soon be home to Haringey’s Resourced Provision for Primary pupils with SEMHD. We are seeking a passionate and creative SEND lead committed to ensuring our children with additional needs flourish and achieve.

We are looking for:

  • A role model of positivity and champion for vulnerable learners who can inspire others. 
  • Someone committed to building strong relationships with children, teachers, families and external agencies, further enhancing the reputation of the school. 
  • A practitioner who is highly organised and driven with a proven track record of effective SEND provision and successful EHC needs assessment requests. 
  • A deep commitment to improving the life chances and educational outcomes of children at risk of exclusion. 
  • Experience of trauma informed practice (or similar) and working successfully with pupils with SEMHD.
  • The ability to lead and manage a team of support staff to ensure provision matches need.
  • The skills to ensure inclusive practice continuously improves through training, coaching and feedback
  • A passion for personal growth and professional learning
  • A resilient individual who is calm under pressure.
