We are looking for a qualified Teacher of The Deaf (1.0FTE) to join our countywide, multi-disciplinary team of Specialist Teacher Advisers.

As a Specialist Teacher Adviser, you will join the Hearing Impairment team which consists of Qualified Teachers of the Deaf and Early Years Deaf Instructors. The team works with children, their families, early years settings, schools (mainstream and special) and colleges. The team provides advice and support to promote the inclusion, empowerment, progress and raising of achievement of children and young people with hearing impairment.

In addition to being a Qualified Teacher of the Deaf with experience, candidates will be expected to have had successful classroom teaching as well as knowledge of the wider field of special educational needs. You will be committed to inclusion and making a difference to pupil outcomes. You will also appreciate the importance of team work within a peripatetic service and be able to show evidence of supporting and mentoring others.

As this is a peripatetic position, you must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role.

The position is based in Havant with caseload around the South East Hampshire area.
