We are looking to recruit and train BTEC practitioners for the role of BTEC QCF Standards Verifier (SV) and would look to recruit candidates with any of the below sector experience:

  • Optical Retail Skills
  • Optometric Clinical Assistant
  • Ophthalmic Dispensing Assistant

QCF Standards Verifiers undertake sampling of centres’ assessment and internal verification decisions in order to confirm that national standards have been met. They provide support to centres during the sampling process and produce targeted actions for centres where national standards are not being upheld.

Applicants must be qualified dispensing opticians and experience of delivering and assessing BTEC qualifications is desired. As well as a commitment to quality assurance is essential, as is a good working knowledge of the specifications for the subject area.
