Job overview

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Leader to lead a highly successful School Improvement Strategy for Primary in Lewisham.

At Lewisham, the importance of system-wide leadership, learning environments and consistent practices are key features in our approach to raising attainment. We have clear and transparent expectations of standards with explicit protocols to support them, underpinned by a relentless focus on improvement.

You will have extensive successful experience of leadership and management in schools and the ability to utilise this in an effective way to ensure continued improvement, raise standards and close achievement gaps and motivate leaders in schools.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and diligent to be part of a team of strategic leaders for school improvement, leading the primary phase and to effectively work in partnership with schools to continue to raise standards. It is an exciting time to join a strong group of primary Headteachers with a diverse range of leadership structures in place.

You must have a track record of helping to shape and influence education policy within a Local Authority setting, raising attainment as a senior leader, a clear knowledge and understanding of current and leading edge developments in education, the wider Children and Young People’s agenda and of the OFSTED framework for schools.
