New College is a popular and successful sixth form college located in Wellington, Telford.  It provides a wide range of academic and vocational programmes to over 1,500 students the majority of whom are full time, young adults aged 16 – 19 years.

Specialising in advanced level education, the college offers over 40 A Level options, a good range of BTEC Diplomas and is accredited to run the highly regarded International Baccalaureate programme.  Running alongside a range of full time intermediate courses are GCSEs, and a foundation learning programme is currently being developed.

The college has recently invested £3million in new state of the art facilities and resources, including a new reception, student social areas, performance spaces and teaching and learning areas, which opened to students, staff and the wider community this September.

The college has a good record of working with the local community and other 11-16, 11-18 and post 16 providers and is developing new and successful approaches to partnership working to extend learning opportunities in the local area.
The Telford area itself is a regional growth point and it is both complex and dynamic whilst having areas within the borough of significant disadvantage.
