Subject Coordinator - Functional Skills - Maths - Young Adults' Programmes

Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service is the local authority's direct provider of adult education and work-based training. We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed individual to support the service's delivery of maths on programmes for young adults - specifically apprenticeships, traineeships and the 16 - 18 pre-apprenticeship programme.

The subject coordinator will be an experienced maths teacher who will be responsible for ensuring that learners achieve their functional skills qualifications in a timely manner, manage and / or support functional skills lecturers working within the young adults' programme and teach a minimum of 250 hours each academic year, to meet the demands of the programme.
