Abraham Guest Academy is a highly successful, co-educational 11-16 Academy with an excellent reputation within the local community. The Academy currently has 847 pupils on roll. Abraham Guest became an Academy on 1st January 2012 sponsored by Winstanley College.
The Governing Body is now seeking to appoint an outstanding Humanities teacher to be an inspirational Subject Leader who will contribute significantly to raising standards in the Academy, developing the curriculum and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning.
Improving progress and raising attainment in Humanities at all levels are key challenges for the Academy.
Applications are invited from successful/aspiring subject leaders who can demonstrate the ability to:

Abraham Guest Academy is a mainstream, state-academy, co-educational, non-denominational, secondary school for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Wigan in Lancashire and there are 806 pupils on its roll.
