Job overview

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and exceptional mathematician to lead one of our strongest departments. The successful candidate will be a motivated and inspirational teacher and will be the strategic lead for maths. You will possess a strong commitment to raising achievement and standards along with an informed and creative approach to curriculum delivery.

Applicants should be resilient, innovative and have a passion for the subject which drives their desire for students to enjoy the challenge and value of Mathematics across all age and ability ranges.

The successful candidate will demonstrate, through application and interview that they are able to:

  • Secure progress for Key Stage 3 and 4 students with a range of different abilities.
  • Create and maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Take responsibility for the success of the Mathematics department team.
  • Lead a team of subject specialists to ensure that the achievement of all students is at least “good” across the school.
  • Inspire staff and instil a passion for Mathematics within students.
