We are looking for someone who has the vision and drive to lead a school that works collaboratively with other professional disciplines within a hospital environment.

Oakview hospital is based on two sites and provides residential treatment for young people aged 12-18 with mental health issues, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. Education plays a crucial part in the day-to-day structured programme within the hospital and you would make a key contribution in managing its delivery.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Genuine commitment and enthusiasm for teaching and learning
  • A track record in delivering successful outcomes in a specialist area
  • Confidence and determination
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Capacity to motivate and support students and colleagues
  • An ability to teach English or experience in post 16 education is desirable but your ability to lead will be paramount.
