Primary Teacher - KS2 experience - Outdoor Nature school - 3 days per week

This is an incredible opportunity to be a part of the development of a unique and brand new type of school. Wildwood Nature School is a non-profit, independent, nature-based primary school, committed to offering equal access for all families through free and reduced-fee places. Our ethos is all about supporting children’s well-being. We do this by: 

• spending at least half of the day outdoors in nature

• championing play and creativity 
• empowering children with a democratic approach

This job will suit someone who is looking to work in a role that’s very different to mainstream primary teaching, someone who wants to make a difference through doing things differently.

However, you will need to have solid primary teaching experience. We’re looking to appoint a proactive, initiative-taking, teacher who can strengthen our team with experience and expertise, in particular, in KS2. At the moment, all our children are in EY and KS1, but that will change in September 2024. We’re looking for someone who can develop our child-led curriculum and approach in ways that will excite and challenge the children, across our age range, but particularly at the older end.
