Responsibilities
Beacon Hill School requires a Teacher of Librarian (TLR3). The position will be a full-time two years renewable contract from August 2015 to August 2017.
The successful applicant would be expected to work to maximise student learning and development with a supportive, information-rich learning environment. Evaluate student learning to provide evidence of progress in information literacy and reading in conjunction with classroom teacher. Collaborate with teachers to develop literature which supports the programme of inquiry which incorporate transferable information literacy and literate outcome. A commitment to an inclusive environment for children with a wide range of learning needs is essential.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Education, or
- Bachelor Degree in any subjects with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation
- A strong understanding of the role of the Teacher Librarian.
