Job overview

The Academy would like to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Psychology Teacher to join the Academy from 1 September 2015. It is desirable that candidates have previous experience of teaching Psychology to A level, although NQTs are welcome to apply for this post. A trainee who is willing to acquire a recognised teaching qualification once appointed may also be considered and appropriate support will be given.

Candidates should be enthusiastic and committed to the ethos of the Academy. We are keen to recruit dedicated and ambitious professionals who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in learning and success beyond the classroom.

Chapeltown Academy is a mixed, non-denominational, sixth-form free school located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The school offers A-level and AS-level courses to its students, achieving pass rates above the national average.

Chapeltown Academy was the answer for a city that lacked an excellent and focused academic institution for students wishing to pursue sixth-form studies. The quest began in 2012 and, through the hard work of teachers and parents, that journey came to fruition in 2014 with a school that is able to serve the needs of its community.
