About the role

We are seeking to appoint from 1st September 2024 a part-time Teacher of Art and Design. The candidate appointed will join a successful and supportive team of staff who regularly share good practice and provide a knowledge-based approach to learning. There is also a requirement to teach some lower school Humanities, Citizenship and Computing.

 What we are looking for

We are looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Art and Design with a willingness to teach across the full age and ability range.

In this position, you will collaborate in curriculum development, provide guidance and feedback to students, and promote creativity and self-expression. You will also be expected to maintain a safe and organized classroom environment and collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.

Duties and responsibilities:-

·        Plan work in accordance with departmental schemes of work.

·        Take account of pupils’ prior levels of attainment and set appropriate future targets.

·        Maintain good discipline by following the school’s policies and procedures.

·        Establish a purposeful working atmosphere during all learning activities.

·        Differentiate work as required to meet all students needs.

·        Adhere to the department Assessment, Recording and Reporting guidelines.

·        Complete pupil reports in line with school policy.

·        Attend parents’ evenings as required and keep parents informed about their child’s performance and future targets.
