British West Indies Collegiate is a private co-educational secondary school in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands, teaching to the UK-based National Curriculum. It is a small school (160 on roll) with a strong academic record, and one that encourages children to achieve their full potential, both inside and outside the classroom.

The school is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Teacher of Art. The person appointed will be in sole charge of the Art department, so good management and organizational skills will be advantageous. Teaching will be from Year 6 to 13; IGCSE students (Years 10 and 11) typically numbering between 5 and 10, with just a couple, if any, at Advanced Level.

Applicants must be versatile and well qualified, with experience of teaching to Advanced Level. International teaching experience is preferred.

British West Indies Collegiate (BWIC) is a co-educational independent internationals school located in the Turks and Caicos Islands. First established in 1993, the school secondary education in an international setting to its pupils. In terms of the school’s curriculum, BWIC teaches a British-style curriculum, with students first taking the iGCSE examinations in Years 10 and 11, before moving on to study for the two-year British A-level qualification, with the school offering a wide range of subject choices. Supporting this curriculum, BWIC is able to boast of a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities, including a dedicated IT lab and music room, as well as a sixth form centre and science facilities. The school also makes use of the National Stadium, giving access to extensive track and field areas. BWIC also offers a number of extra-curricular activities for its pupils, including the British Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme and a range of competitive sports. The school works hard to foster a strong sense of community among its pupils, in order to further their personal as well as academic development.
