Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and innovative teacher of Art. You will be a key player in the highly ambitious EPA Faculty and will work with a highly committed team of professionals who are determined to develop the teaching of Art for all abilities.

We are looking for a forward thinker who is an energetic and a dedicated teacher, who will engage, enthuse and challenge students to achieve their very best in Art. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our vision of ‘succeeding together’.

You will have excellent subject knowledge and be well informed on current educational developments and initiatives. You will work within a well-resourced curriculum area that has significantly improved GCSE results over the last 3 years. The Art team has worked hard to develop opportunities to enrich learning outside the classroom and a commitment to this aspect would be welcome.

In 2014, 66% of students achieved five or more GCSEs, including English and Maths, at A*-C. 81% of our students made expected progress in English with 79% making expected progress in Maths. The outcomes for Art are also very strong.

We welcome any requests from candidates wishing to visit the Academy. Please contact Stacey Marks, Headteachers PA, smarks@wittonpark.org.uk if you would like this opportunity.

Welcome to Witton Park Academy

Innovating… Engaging… Caring… Learning… Succeeding Together.
With pride and passion we unite our school and our local community, and lead the drive to be ‘always learning’.

We are extremely proud of our school; the achievements of our pupils, the expertise and dedication of our staff, our outstanding facilities and our reputation as a centre of excellence.

Our ultra-modern school buildings allow our pupils to flourish in facilities for learning that truly do enable us to trail blaze innovative learning – from the bright and attractive classrooms, to the fully equipped outside play areas, the facilities allow our pupils to fully explore their talents and to shine in those areas that they most enjoy.

A building, however, is only as good as the people working within; we believe we have some of the best students and teachers in the world.  Staff and pupils benefit from the investment we place on their development: as well as playing a key part in supporting other schools through the Achievement through Collaboration Trust, we have a variety of external partners from Google, The Schools, Students and Teacher Network and with University College London. Partnerships like these create opportunities for all members of our team.

We understand how important choosing the right school is and so, on behalf of our pupils and staff, we warmly invite you to visit our school and experience for yourself the quality of education we offer.
