We are looking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Teacher of Art who is passionate about their subject, and will work hard in a committed team to contribute to the development of this successful area. Art has historically and remains a key subject in our school and we value the place of creative subjects within our curriculum.

Sir William Ramsay School is a successful and oversubscribed mixed upper school bordering High Wycombe. The school was designated as having a Specialism in the Visual Arts in 2000. In July 2012 the school was described by Ofsted as a ‘Good School’ with ‘Outstanding’ features. The school is happy and harmonious, with students making good progress. This an exciting period for the school with plans approved for a substantial site development having been asked by the LA to accommodate an additional 30 students in Year 7 for the next 5 years.

SEND/Hearing Impaired

We cater for a wide range of Special Educational Needs.  The design of the school allows us to admit students who are statemented for physical difficulties and hearing impairment.  This is an outstanding provision where students are given high quality support.  We also support students with an SEN statement for specific learning difficulties, moderate learning difficulties and other educational needs.
