Come and join a dynamic and creative school and make a difference to our students.
We are seeking to appoint a qualified Art specialist who has the ability to deliver BTEC Fashion and Key Stage 3 and 4 Art. Experience in delivering GCSE Art would be advantageous and the ability to have a multi-disciplinary approach to the Arts would be beneficial, particularly when teaching GCSE Art.
If you want to make a difference to our students, this is the post for you. We have a proven track record in developing our teachers with a successful bespoke CPD programme. This post will suit an experienced teacher but we would also welcome applications from well qualified NQTs.
Cardinal Wiseman is a large Catholic mixed school in the north-east of Coventry. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming community ambitious for our students to succeed.

Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School and Language College is a large voluntary aided comprehensive school with an intake of up to 240 pupils in each year. Our intake comes from over twenty primary schools but we work very closely with our seven catholic feeder schools. We are a diverse community with families from different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. The school works in partnership with the Local Authority and the Archdiocese of Birmingham; and a consortium on the east of Coventry which enables our students to access a wide range of courses 14-19. We are unique in the area as we have a farm and we sell some of our produce. Our facilities are excellent despite the age of the buildings.
Cardinal Wiseman is a ‘Good’ school with improving results ambitious to become ‘Outstanding’. Our results continue to rise because we offer a wide curriculum choice and we are passionate about the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom. Investment in staff development is paramount. There is also an active Student Leadership Group who organise an annual conference for pupils to give feedback about how they want to see the school run.
