Job overview

Teacher of Art Design (A specialism in Painting or Photography would be an advantage) - 1 Full and 1 x Part Time (0.4)

Queen Ethelburga’s is a forward looking Independent Foundation of four schools with 1750+ students aged between 3 – 18 years.  Boys and girls are recruited from the UK and internationally and many live on campus.  The buildings and grounds are first rate with substantial investment giving purpose built facilities, underpinned by a dedication to high quality teaching and learning.  The school actively promotes the professional development of its staff through induction, CPD and career development opportunities.

Due to continued growth across the Collegiate we now require additional full time and a part time teachers to join our successful Art department.  The department is based in purpose built art and design, computer and photography rooms.  The area is vibrant, with extensive areas for display and is an inspiring area of the school.  The department currently offers the students opportunities in Art, Photography, Fashion/Textiles, Ceramics, Sculpture and mixed media Installations and prepares students for GCSE, A Level and BTEC examinations

We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner, with proven success in delivering Art and Design from Year 6 – Year 13, to join a dedicated and creative team. A specialism in Photography and/or Painting would be an advantage. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with vision, enthusiasm and drive. We welcome applicants with new ideas, the ability to innovate and a passion for making a difference to student achievement.  Recent experience of delivering an academic subject to learners with English as a second language would be an advantage.

Principal:  Mr Steven Jandrell BA
