About Bishop Young Church of England Academy

Belonging – Listening – Serving - Persevering

Principal – Paul Cooper

Bishop Young Church of England Academy is based in East Leeds.   The academy was formerly known as the David Young Community Academy and has recently changed its name as it moves into an exciting new era as part of the Abbey Multi-Academy Trust.

Bishop Young Church of England Academy is poised to achieve great things.  Opening as a new member of the Abbey Multi Academy Trust marks the start of a new chapter for the staff, students and community of BYA. Together we need to be both realistic about the challenges ahead, but unswerving in our commitment to tackling them with pace and the confidence that we can affect rapid change.
