We wish to appoint a well-qualified, part-time Teacher of Art who must be able to teach GCSE and A-level Art. Our perfect candidate will have a teaching qualification and degree in Art; be a consistently good to outstanding practitioner; have the ability to teach successfully across all key stages and be committed to raising the achievement of all our learners by ensuring that the teaching of Art is of the highest possible quality.

You will join a welcoming and supportive school with a proven record of success at GCSE and A level.

St. Hilda’s is a high-performing, over-subscribed girls’ comprehensive school with a mixed Sixth Form situated on the edge of Sefton Park in South Liverpool. In 2014, GCSE results in maths and English were excellent; 87% gained at least C grade in English and 89% at least a C in maths; 80% gained at least 5 A* - C grades including English and maths. In 2012, Ofsted judged the school to be Good with Outstanding behaviour and SIAS (church schools’ inspection) Outstanding in all respects. We have high expectations of behaviour and there are excellent relationships between staff and pupils based on mutual respect. The school will move to a brand new building in 2015 and will then become a mixed school.
