Meadowhead School Academy Trust is a popular and successful school with an excellent academic and pastoral reputation and very high standards of behaviour. This was recognised in our very successful Ofsted inspection in October 2014.

We are in our tenth year of excellent progress and attainment at KS4 with 62% of pupils achieving 5+ A* to C grades including English and Mathematics in 2014. We have high expectations of ourselves and our students and welcome colleagues who share our commitment to continuous improvement.

In September 2009 the school formed the Meadowhead Community Learning Trust, with six Primary Schools, Sheffield College, both Sheffield Universities and a number of national and local businesses. Through the Trust partnership we have been teaching a full A level programme since 2009 and gained full 11-18 status in September 2013. The school became an elective Academy in August 2012.

Applications are invited for a talented and enthusiastic Art teacher to join an experienced and innovative Art department. We are looking for an exceptional, creative teacher with individual ideas and approaches and a real strength in drawing as an expressive area. An interest in Graphic Communication, Photography and/or Animation would be an advantage as well as a fluent ability to work imaginatively and to a high standard with all physical media.

You will be inspirational in your teaching, student focused in learning and a great communicator. There will be the opportunity to teach AQA GCSE Art and Design and Graphic Communications as well as teaching general Art at KS3. For a suitably qualified candidate there may be an opportunity to teach A Level Art and Design. Please specify in your application which aspects of Art you are confident and qualified to teach.
