Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic Art department within St Andrew’s Catholic School. The Art Department are an ambitious team who provide inspirational teaching, support and guidance across the subject and all disciplines within it. The success of the department and the enthusiasm the students have toward the subjects has led to the subject's growing team. The Art department consists of 3 separate disciplines: KS3 GCSE & A Level Art, A Level Photography and A Level Graphics.

Art is a very popular GCSE and A Level with 100% of students achieving a grade 9-5 at GCSE and 100% A*-B at A Level for the past few years. Photography too has large cohorts at A Level where the results are excellent with 100% achieving A*-C since 2018. Graphics is the final A Level subject taught by the department where again the results are 100% A*-B. We are looking to appoint a qualified teacher who is a passionate and dedicated individual, who can work across multiple disciplines within the department. Understanding of student’s needs and capabilities and attention to detail is crucial, within a fast paced, fun and creative environment. The post would suit an ECT where they would be offer excellent support at the start of their career or a more experienced teacher looking to join an outstanding team.
