Clifton College is a large independent day and boarding school with over 1300 pupils aged 3 to 18, two large commercial sports facilities, a commercial theatre and over 600 staff.

We require a well-qualified graduate to teach Biology throughout the Upper School from September 2015 for one academic year as maternity cover.

Bristol businessman Dr John Percival, who championed the benefits of science, diversity and the education of women, founded Clifton College in 1862. The College has since fostered the talents of students including General Douglas Haig and Olympic hockey gold medallist Lily Owsley. The NSPCC had its first meeting on the school’s grounds.

Clifton College Upper School is housed in historical buildings, such as the Grade II-listed Percival Library, but it boasts state-of-the-art sporting facilities, including 24 tennis courts and an Olympic-standard hockey pitch.
