About International School of Verona

First established as an independent school in 1948, the International School of Verona adopted its current ethos as an international school in 1996. Located in the Italian city of Verona, the school currently serves around 700 students in a co-educational setting. Admission to the school is performed partially on the basis of selection, with students being given informal (and occasionally formal) examination. The curriculum at the school is primarily taught in English, with Italian language classes being prevalent throughout the school’s curriculum. Starting in Middle School, students receive certain subjects such as Music and PE entirely in Italian. Students in High School sit both the iGCSE examination, as well as the Italian National Leaving Examination, with the curriculum conforming to both International Baccalaureate and Italian standards. Their final two years at school culminate in the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme, an internationally recognised pre-university qualification. The school itself is able to boast of a wide range of modern academic and recreational facilities.
