Job overview

We require a highly motivated and inspirational teacher of Boys’ PE who is committed to raising the achievements of our students. You will be joining an experienced, supportive team with a track record of success and passionate about creative, engaging teaching and learning. A commitment to the strong extra-curricular programme is essential. There is a wide range of good facilities.

The successful candidate will teach throughout KS3 and KS4. GCSE PE and Btec Level 3 courses are popular options with students and results are very good.

The department is ambitious and committed to the personal development of all staff. There are excellent opportunities for high quality CPD. Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and NQTs.

Harwich and Dovercourt High School is an 11-18 Academy with 1200 students serving the town and immediate area. It is a member of North East Essex Education Partnership and Trust of 7 local independent academies committed to collegiate working. This is an attractive part of the country with excellent links to London and the Continent.

3 years rent/mortgage subsidy or relocation package up to £8,500 available
