Job overview
Swanshurst is a very successful and innovative school for girls with 1760 students on roll aged 11-19 years. We are part of a strong Training School Alliance.
Ofsted (2013) found Swanshurst to be “a good school where the proportion of students who achieve five good GCSE grades at A*-C is above average” recognising that “students show a good level of mutual respect for each other and their teachers” and also that “most lessons proceed at a fast pace and this ensures that students learn quickly and make good, and sometimes outstanding progress”.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, creative and inspirational Science teacher to join our large and successful department which boasts six newly refurbished labs.
We are looking for a well-qualified graduate with an ability and keen interest to deliver and teach all Science disciplines at Key Stage 3 and KS4 (core and additional Science), plus your chemistry specialism in separate Science at KS4. The ability to teach AS and A2 Chemistry, is essential.
Applications from NQTs welcome.
