We are currently seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic, full-time teacher of Chemistry.

Within the Science Faculty, each discipline is encouraged to flourish and make its own identifiable contribution.  The Faculty is housed in ten well-resourced laboratories, three preparation rooms and has access to a suite of laptops. All laboratories have digital projectors and interactive whiteboards, and every student has an iPad as part of our 1:1 initiative.  As such, you will be expected to develop the use of mobile technology in your teaching, to enhance student learning and creativity.
 
The Chemistry department consists of 6 teachers (3 part-time) and a team of technicians. The department collaborates well in delivering the courses on offer.  In Year 9 we teach the Exploring Science course; at GCSE we teach the AQA course; and at A Level the Edexcel course. We also teach the IB Diploma Programme at Standard and Higher Level. We are therefore looking for candidates with experience  in teaching GCSE and A Level/IB Chemistry.  The ability to offer either Physics or Biology to GCSE level would also be an advantage.
