In 2023 their pass rate for GCSE was 78.6% A*- B and the pass rate was 100% A*- C. Some of the more able pupils opt to study AQA Computer Science at A Level. Successes include on average one student per year gaining a place at Imperial College London and two at Edinburgh for the prestigious Computer science and AI course, while others have joined other Russell Group Universities to study for a degree in Computer Science. They have also had excellent success with the UK Bebras, Oxford University Computing Challenge and The Perse Team Coding Challenges in recent years. Sixth Form pupils contribute to co-curricular computing activities such as the popular Vex Robotics V5 competitions in year 12, and their teams were represented at the UK Nationals in Telford. In year 11, several of the GCSE Computer Science and Physics students are building their own satellite in CanSat Club, and in the younger years there are weekly Coding Clubs.

Computer Science teaching takes place in dedicated ICT rooms, all well equipped with interactive whiteboards. The department share and contribute to a pool of electronic and other resources and regularly exchange teaching ideas. Mutual observation of lessons is encouraged.
