Teacher of Computer Science
Our school is growing, and we are looking for an additional enthusiastic teacher to join our Computer Science team! The successful candidate will be able to confidently teach Computer Science at both KS3 and GCSE level. An ability to teach at A level would be an advantage but it is not a requirement at this stage.
Our KS3 Computer Science curriculum is both unique and current - preparing students for KS4 Computer Science and beyond, with coding in Python being a key focus. We therefore require the successful candidate to be proficient in coding with Python and, ideally, one other programming language.
Hinchingbrooke considers the Form Tutor role to be very important; the successful candidate would be expected to undertake this role with commitment.
Why come to Hinchingbrooke?
This is a fantastic school to work in! At interview, we always ask candidates for their impressions of the school, and they comment on our wonderful students, the strong team spirit amongst our staff and how friendly and welcoming the school is! We also offer:
· An excellent programme of teacher CPD
· Free on-site parking and free membership of our on-site leisure facility
· Plenty of career opportunities for ambitious teachers - we are a large school in a forward-looking Multi-Academy Trust
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Hinchingbrooke School values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.
