Are you a dynamic and inspirational teacher of English and Drama? Do you want to work with highly aspirational students in a diverse multicultural environment?

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of English and Drama. This role is suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher. We are a large and successful department and there will be an opportunity to be involved in curriculum development by working with others to plan for effective teaching and learning.

Successful candidates must:

  • Have a strong track record as an excellent teacher of English and Drama who is committed to maximising the achievement of every student in the subject or the ability to demonstrate you are developing outstanding practice if an NQT
  • Be a passionate advocate of the subject who contributes effectively to departmental and whole school improvement
  • Be able to teach across the age and ability range at age 11-16 and A level
  • Be eager to become a supportive Form Tutor
  • Be able and willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school
  • Have high expectations of themselves and others
  • Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be flexible and a good team player
