We are looking to recruit an exceptional Teacher of English to be based at our Lower Academy (KS3 timetable).

If you can deliver outstanding teaching and learning, and have the drive and passion necessary to ensure every child achieve their potential then you are just the person we are looking for. 

The Basildon Academies are two state of the art Academies based in Essex, just 35 minutes from London. The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our students aged 11-14 whilst the Upper Academy specialises in our 14-19 year old student populations. The Academies are approximately 1 mile apart.

We are an aspirational and ambitious Academy that is dedicated to supporting staff to build a fulfilling teaching career. As a new member of staff you will be offered a full induction and excellent support and development so that you can be ‘outstanding’ in your chosen subject. 

We offer a wide range of trips, conferences and enrichment programmes and have outstanding facilities; both in terms of technological equipment and external facilities including a heated indoor pool, larger than average fields, table tennis facilities, drama and dance studios to name a few of many features available.

Basildon Upper Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 14-19 academy with sixth form, situated in Basildon in Essex. Along with the Basildon Lower Academy, it forms The Basildon Academies Trust. The academies share an executive principal, but each academy has its own leadership with a head of academy. There are 576 students on the secondary school’s roll, 207 students of whom are enrolled on 16 to 19 study programmes.
