Job overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teacher of English wishing to be fast tracked into leadership whilst contributing to a department that is continually developing and improving.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach English language and English literature at KS3 and KS4 level with KS5 experience desirable due to Sixth Form provision beginning in 2017. We are looking for a conscientious, dedicated team-player who has excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English with the ability to enthuse students.

Fast Track to Leadership program is a three-year course. Year one involves a whole school development impact project that would be assessed at the end of the first year. Successful completion of the impact project would ensure progress to a one-year secondment in an Associate Leadership role either at middle or senior level (dependent on experience). Following the successful completion of year two, in year three, there would be a guaranteed certified leadership course (NPQML/ NPQSL). This would be in addition to our extensive and bespoke Continued Professional Development program that is available for all staff.
