We are proud of our English Team at Lilian Baylis Technology School. Results are improving year on year and new and innovative ideas are being implemented. We teach GCSE English language and Literature at KS4. At KS5 we teach A level English. We have excellent relationships with local universities and the South Bank Centre. Students are mostly taught in classes of 24.
You will be a good classroom teacher who is eager to try new ideas in a supportive environment. You will have excellent subject knowledge and keen to teach a wide range of abilities. If you are an NQT you will be able to start in July and will benefit from our nationally accredited induction programme and CPD programme. In addition OfSTED described the school as having "a clear focus on ensuring that teaching is of the highest quality underpinned by excellent training opportunities for all staff, including the school’s Outstanding Teacher Programme"
Lilian Baylis Technology School is a mixed, 11-19, inner city multicultural school located in a new building at Vauxhall, London. We have outstanding facilities including electronic whiteboards in all rooms and laptops for all staff. In February 2013 OfSTED stated we were ‘outstanding in all aspects’. In addition our KS2-4 Value Added has been in the top 20% for the last 10 years and our KS4-5 Value Added was in the top 10% last year for academic and applied courses.
