Job overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and motivated teacher of English with the vision and drive to make a significant contribution to the teaching and learning of English and literacy at Campion School. You will need to have drive, commitment and excellent subject knowledge to support the team and needs of our students.

The successful candidate will need to teach across the ability range at all Key Stages, will have the capacity to raise attainment through motivating and inspiring students, and will help enhance our culture of high expectations and achievement within the department and the school.

You will be joining an excellent and supportive English team and a school that realises the importance of English to the future life chances of our students.

We welcome applications from both NQTs and experienced members of staff. An excellent induction programme is available to NQTs as well as professional development and career opportunities for colleagues across the full range of experience.

Campion School in Bugbrooke, Near Northampton, is a co-educational secondary school. It became a Language College in September 1997 and an academy in 2011.

The school adopts the latest teaching pedagogy and staff engage in an internal teaching and learning development programme called “XL” (Leading to Excellent Teaching).  A continual evaluation cycle measures the effectiveness of Campion School’s work and identifies the next steps to be taken to ensure continuous improvement in all areas of teaching and learning.

To ensure that all students in the sixth form are challenged an motivated, the latest equipment for interactive lessons is utilised.
