We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and committed Teachers of English to join our strong and supportive English department. At GCSE, we teach WJEC specifications in English, English Language and English Literature, and we have developed a focused curriculum from Year 7 to Year 11, which prepares students well for the rigors of their GCSE courses and beyond.
The Academy is an 11 – 18 school (NOR 1650) and is conveniently located between the cities of Sheffield and Nottingham, and approximately a 30-minute drive from the towns of Doncaster, Barnsley, Chesterfield and Rotherham.
This is an opportunity to join a ‘Good’ school in a pivotal year as we strive for excellence in all areas, transforming the lives of the young people in our care. 83% of students achieved A*-C in GCSE English in 2014 and we are making sustainable improvements which will continue to improve the achievements and life chances of our students.
