The Stanground Academy, in Peterborough have an opening for a Teacher to join the English department from September 2015/January 2015.

The Academy are looking for a highly motivated and inspirational Teacher of English to join an expanding and highly supportive department. The Stanground Academy have a positive team within a supportive and friendly working environment, where staff work hard for each other and are always prepared to go the extra mile.

We are seeking to appoint qualified, motivated and imaginative Teachers with a passion for raising standards in English.

You will:

  • have experience of teaching English;
  • have the capability of engaging and enthusing pupils through a commitment to quality learning;
  • have a dynamic approach to classroom learning and be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills;
  • share the Trust’s passion for ensuring that all children can succeed despite the challenges they may face.

The new Stanground Academy opened on 1 April 2012 and is one of the Greenwood Academies Trust’s Group of Academies, replacing the predecessor Stanground College. The Academy has since undergone a £24M building project and now boasts state of the art” buildings providing academic, vocational and sports facilities for pupils and staff.  These include fully-equipped specialist rooms, extensive sports facilities, a dance studio, a theatre and high tech ICT equipment.
