Colegio Hispano Ingles de Las Palmas is a private international bilingual school in Gran Canaria (Spain) for students from 1 to 18 years of age that follows both Cambridge IGCSE and Spanish educational programmes. In addition to the English and Spanish languages the school curriculum also includes German and Mandarin.

Our staff is mainly formed by inspiring and innovative teachers with advanced ICT skills. As an organisation, we are committed to ensure quality of education, job stability and continuous professional development. Teachers have ongoing support from the Director of Studies and the head of each specific department.

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified full-time English Teacher.
Being able to teach ESL students and preparing Cambridge ESOL exams.
Experience teaching KET, PET, FCE, CAE and PCE.

The ability to offer some of one of these syllabus would be an advantage:

- KS3, KS4 or IGCSE Physical Education
- KS3, KS4 or IGCSE Geography
- KS3, KS4 or IGCSE History

The ability and enthusiasm to organise and participate in extra-curricular and tutoring activities will be expected, as well as chaperone students on overseas tours.

Requirements

Bachelor degree and Qualified Teacher Status
Advanced ICT skills: proficiency in both Windows and Mac OS is required.
Must be a fluent English speaker but knowledge of Spanish is not required.
An enhanced CRB check is required for all succesful aplicants.
Valid EU working papers are essential.
