Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Temporary Teacher of English (0.6FTE) at St Modan's High School, Stirling. The successful candidate will be part of a very successful team and will work within the faculty of Language & Society. He/she will be a dynamic, flexible, forward-thinking, excellent teacher, fully committed to the values and aims of Catholic Education and to the holistic development of young people. He/she will contribute to whole-school development far beyond English. St Modan's is a state of the art, modern facility only 40 minutes from Glasgow or Edinburgh, serving pupils of 3 Local Authorities. In the most recent HMIE inspection St Modan's was awarded Excellent or Very Good in every measure and inspectors described our young people's behaviour as exemplary. Note that interviews for this post are likely to take place during week beginning 8th June.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be invited to come in to complete the form and have your details verified. It is Stirling Council’s policy to ask that you pay for this if you are on point 4 or above of the main-grade teachers scale.
