Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, well qualified and highly motivated teacher to promote ambition and achievement for all. The successful candidate will be a specialist with a genuine interest in improving the quality of provision for all pupils. We are looking for somebody who can bring with them ideas, energy and enthusiasm. We are a team of 10 specialist English teachers and as part of our team, you will be fully supported and will be integral to the school's drive to raise standards and outcomes.
All staff teach the whole age and ability range. Pupils in year 7 are currently taught in eight mixed ability groups, with an additional two nurture groups to support more vulnerable pupils through the transition to secondary school. In Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 pupils are placed in ability sets. We follow the Cambridge, AQA and Edexcel GCSE syllabi.
