Due to the increasing number of pupils, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-driven, flexible and talented Teacher to teach English across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

Candidates must be able to convey the subject to pupils and students who have a range of abilities and monitor and assess to ensure the best possible progress. The successful candidate will have a commitment to developing outstanding practice and the desire and drive to improve educational outcomes and life chances for our very special pupils and students.

Applications are welcome from both NQTs and experienced teachers. Experience of working within a SEN setting is desirable, but not essential.

St Dominic’s School, rated “Good” by Ofsted, is a weekly boarding and day school catering for up to 110 pupils and students between the ages of 7 and 19 who have a range of academic abilities and with complex special needs including ASD and speech and language communication difficulties.

St Dominic's offers a truly multi-disciplinary approach, which welcomes and celebrates difference and individuality. Teachers work collaboratively with therapists and care staff to enhance the learning process and provide an exciting waking day curriculum. Staff work together to provide a blended approach to therapeutic and educational input, contextually, both within individual lessons and across the school as a whole.
