Values and vision

Cansfield High School aims to offer its students a caring environment where positive achievement is valued and where they learn to work within a clear and disciplined framework. It aims to stimulate students’ imagination and to encourage independent learning.

The school aims to help students to develop aesthetic sensitivity. It also wishes to promote self-esteem and respect for others among students so that they become tolerant of people who have different opinions to them.

For a child to reach their full educational achievement, the school believes a high level of school attendance is essential. It has dedicated itself consistently to working towards a goal of 100% attendance for all pupils. The school has also affirmed that it will use every opportunity it can to convey to pupils and their parents or carers the importance of regular and punctual attendance.

Ofsted

“The school has a happy and welcoming atmosphere. Pupils are very polite and behave well. They are proud of their school and look after it. Classrooms and corridors are attractive and help pupils to learn and keep themselves safe. Relationships between pupils and teachers and among pupils are positive.
