We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational English teacher from September 2015 or January 2016.

You will have a passion for your subject along with the drive, energy and enthusiasm to work within the existing strong team to ensure the strong progress already made in the department is continued. It is essential that you are an outstanding classroom practitioner and a forward looking, creative, enthusiastic educationalist. An extensive knowledge of the current curriculum and national developments is essential. 

The salary will reflect relevant experience, and the nature and extent of the role is negotiable.

We hope to appoint an ambitious individual who is seeking breadth of experience for further career progression

The English department is strong with outcomes in all measures, consistently well above national average.

Cove School is an 11-16 school and has approximately 1000 pupils on roll. It is an exceptionally exciting time to be at Cove as although the school was placed in ‘special measures’ in March 2014 the entire community is aspirational for a rapid removal from this; recognised as wholly acheivable.in the recent monitoring visit.

As well as outstanding opportunities within Cove, the school shares an Executive Headteacher with a strong local school and opportunities for cross school partnership working will be a high priority.

Cove School is a larger than average 11-16 secondary co-educational establishment, located in the north of Hampshire. We are a local authority school within easy commute of London, the historic city of Winchester and the beautiful scenery of the New Forest.
