Teacher of English (with TLR responsibility)

We are currently seeking an inspirational and motivational Teacher of English (with TLR responsibility) with the drive, commitment and creativity to support us in providing the best possible opportunities for our pupils. This vacancy includes a TLR responsibility within the English department, this will be dependent on the successful candidate’s strengths. Further details will be discussed at interview. 

We are seeking a colleague:

• To raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement within the curriculum area and to monitor and support pupil progress providing appropriate intervention.
• To be accountable for pupil progress within the subject area.
• To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils studying in the department.
• To be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject/curriculum area.
• To deploy financial and physical resources within the department effectively to support the school and department development plans.
• To support the Head of English in driving improvement across the subject.
