Consett Academy opened in January 2012. In the Academic Year 2014-15 the Academy will move onto a new purpose built campus in the heart of Consett offering unrivalled new facilities for our students and the local community.

We are seeking to appoint a creative and inspirational Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, who can teach French, preferably coupled with a second language of Spanish. However, we welcome applications from all interested parties.

You should be able demonstrate outstanding teaching by delivering effective lessons, using student data to inform planning and progression. Additionally, you will have high expectations of students based on a sound knowledge of their prior and potential attainment, to ensure effective whole class, group or individual learning opportunities.

As well as a commitment to extra school activities, you will set high standards of expectations in respect of good classroom management and play an integral part in raising language standards across the school.

CONSETT ACADEMY - NEW CAMPUS
Our new Academy campus is proposed to open to students in the 2014/15 Academic Year.
