Job overview

A maternity cover will also be considered

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and highly motivated teacher to join our thriving Geography department. We are looking for someone who is dedicated and keen to share their enthusiasm for the subject with students.

You will be committed to outstanding standards in teaching and learning and have a passion for working with young people. It is an ideal post for a newly qualified teacher or someone looking to further their career experience.

The Geography department is part of a larger, well-resourced Humanities faculty and the subject is popular across all key stages, therefore the ability and willingness to teach up to A-Level is essential. The capacity to teach a second subject would be an advantage.

We can offer excellent working conditions, a supportive environment and plenty of opportunity for further development, at one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country. The superb facilities include an on-site nursery and a sports complex with subsidised membership for staff.

Further details and an application form are available on the school website (www.thomas-hardye.net).

Please send your letter of application together with a completed application form to Mrs Anita Biles (Headteacher’s PA) by the deadline, Monday 27th April.

The Thomas Hardye School is committed to Equal Opportunities and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
