Job overview

Ref: 14-15/NA/042

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative Teacher of Geography to join the Humanities department in an ambitious and dynamic Academy, from September 2015.

This is a great opportunity to work for one of the largest Academies in the United Kingdom with new and refurbished buildings and a capacity for 3,600 pupils. The Academy opened in September 2009 on the three sites of its predecessor schools. It is one of only a handful of all-through 3-19 schools in the country with its own nursery, primary, secondary and sixth form provision. The most recent Ofsted in 2012 judged the Academy as overall good with outstanding for leadership and management.

To be successful, you will:

  • be a qualified, enthusiastic and imaginative teacher with a passion for Geography; have experience of teaching;
  • have the capability of engaging and enthusing pupils through a commitment to quality learning;
  • have a dynamic approach to classroom learning and be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills;
  • share the Trusts passion for ensuring that all children can succeed despite the challenges they may face.

You will join the Secondary Phase of a forward thinking Academy where first-class professional values and high standards of behaviour are highly valued. The Academy also offers a great CPD programme and excellent opportunities for career development throughout the Academy and the wider Trust.

Visits to the Academy are welcomed as are applications from NQTs. If you think you have what it takes to play a part in the leading edge of education we want to hear from you.
