(To teach across the whole school, including iGCSE and A’Level)
 
Greensteds School is situated 140 km north of Nairobi, in the heart of Kenya’s Rift Valley and within ten minutes drive of Lake Nakuru National Park. We are looking for a dynamic teacher of Girls PE who is able to deliver the PE curriculum across both the Junior and Senior School. The Physical Education programme plays a key role in this busy boarding and day school with the vast majority of students taking part in extra-curricular activities. Greensteds International School boasts some of the best sporting facilities in Kenya including a 10 lane athletics track, outdoor swimming pool and a range of stunning pitches for cricket, rounders , hockey, football and rugby.

 A committed and experienced Teacher of PE (Girls) is required to join the dynamic PE team. The position involves teaching PE and Games across KS2 and KS4 with an ability to teach across all disciplines. The successful candidate will have outstanding subject knowledge, and experience of effectively delivering iGCSE/AS PE.

The Role:

  • be an outstanding classroom practitioner or have the potential to become outstanding
  • be aspirational with high expectations of students
  • be able to teach across the age and ability range including AS, GCSE, KS2 to KS4
  • be able to teach Girls PE and Games including Netball, Hockey, Health Related Fitness, Rounders, Athletics, Swimming, and other sports and games.
  • have a strong commitment to extra-curricular activities

About Greensteds International School

Greensteds International School is a co-educational independent school based in Nakuru in Kenya.

It was established in 1936 as a junior school, but now provides education for students aged 2-18. It is a co-educational, non-selective day and boarding school which provides an education based on an adapted form of the National Curriculum used in England from Reception to A level. The school today stands on a 50-acre landscaped site. It has seen numerous developments, such as the building of dormitories as well as the addition of IT suites and a Music Technology room.
